Situation of Cervical Cancer in Hong Kong

According to the cancer statistics of the Hospital Authority in 2022, cervical cancer ranks 9th among the most common cancers in Hong Kong women, accounting for 2.9% of the total percentage. There were 522 new cases of cervical cancer, and the age-standardized incidence rate per 100,000 standard population was 7.1%. There was a slight upward trend in the incidence rate over the past decade. In 2022, there were 167 patients who died of cervical cancer, ranking 9th among the deaths due to cancer, accounting for 2.6% of the total percentage. There was no significant change in the mortality rate over the past decade.
